Dakich has been bringing food to people with DoorDash for the past few months.
“I come from steel workers, teachers and lost sight of the value of a dollar,” Dakich told barrettsportsmedia.com. “I woke up at 5:30 am and told my wife that I needed to be reconciled. Seriously, I went to the hardware store about a mile from my house and applied for a job because I wanted my money back. I owe my family and I lost a dollar’s worth.
Dakich said he took this path as punishment and got the idea from his stepson, who made $ 25 an hour working for Grubhub. Dakich still does this four to five times a week.
“My wife called me an idiot and told me I didn’t have to, but I wanted to because I preached a dollar’s worth to so many people,” Dakich said. .
It’s been a crazy year for Dakich, who has been accused of misogynistic actions after becoming involved in a Twitter dispute over college athlete compensation, questioning his future at ESPN.
“I don’t know if ESPN will get me back. I guess not, ”Dakich said on her show. “Who cares? Who cares about the man?
