Nedbank and Levergy win the Hollard Sport Industry Awards

According to Athletics South Africa (ASA), running was at an all-time low due to the Covid-19 pandemic, with no physical events taking place in the past two years.

The Runified Breaking Barriers Race is a broadcast race that challenges male and female athletes to break the IAU 50km World Record. This stands along Marine Drive in the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality in Gqeberha.

This event resulted in the breaking of the men’s and women’s IAU 50 km world records.

Levergy says that, having reached the Distinction of the agency of the year in 2019 and 2020, it continued its price performance thanks to the partnership with Nedbank.

The partnership has seen the production of a multi-faceted campaign that has enabled the first competitive road racing event to be held in over two years.

“It’s fabulous to be able to reward and celebrate such inventiveness through these awards,” said Heidi Brauer, Marketing Director of Hollard.

Brauer concludes: “In these trying times, such events bring support and inspiration to the diverse sporting communities of South Africa as well as hope and even anticipation for a better future.”
