The 2021/22 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship calendar and new financial regulations were ratified today by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) at a meeting of the World Motor Sport Council (WMSC) of the FIA.

Berlin and Rome will now host two races each in a double-in-a-weekend format in Formula E’s largest 16-race calendar. Season 8 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship will see all-electric racing for the first time on the streets of Vancouver, Jakarta and Seoul alongside regular host cities Diriyah, Mexico City, Monaco, New York and London.

The introduction of new financial regulations for the championship was also confirmed at the WMSC. The regulations will come into force on October 1, 2022 and will see two sets of regulations introduced by the FIA ​​to monitor and control levels of spending by teams and manufacturers in the Gen3 era.


EMG Group has announced the appointment of Neil Jones as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of EMG and Malcolm Swatton as Chief People Officer (CPO).

A seasoned commercial entrepreneur, Neil joins EMG after six years as an investor and advisory board member at Redbud Media and Catalytic Studios. He will help EMG scale the business and accelerate revenue growth. Malcolm, HR veteran, joins EMG after working as a HR consultant. Malcom will guide EMG in developing unified HR processes, rolling out specifications, key performance indicators and employee rewards programs across the group. He has over twenty years of experience, including Chief People Officer at Aspria, Global Head of Human Resources at Universal Music Group and Group Human Resources Director at ITV Digital.


People on the pitch across the country will benefit from increased levels of support and guidance from 2022 thanks to a new partnership between the Rugby Football Union (RFU) and Honda.

Honda becomes lead partner for the RFU’s Rugby Grounds Connected programme, which provides a two-way communication network between the RFU and rugby ground managers, helping rugby club volunteers improve their grounds.

The more than 1,300 members of Honda Rugby Grounds Connected, which is free to join, will have access to a host of opportunities including live and on-demand webinars, an online toolkit, expert advice and support. access to pitch advisors. The new partnership will also offer an enhanced rewards and recognition program for field volunteers.
