20 years – Excellence – Evolution
the Sports Industry Awards 2021 – which is celebrating its 20th anniversary – has officially opened registration, marking a period of continued excellence and, above all, a new evolution within the sports industry.
The Sport Industry Awards, year after year, celebrate the immense work done in the sector, and as the world has changed and the whole industry faces new realities, it is important to stop and to share the successes that we have all had.
This year, the Sport Industry Awards 2021 are looking for a more hopeful, vibrant and inclusive industry, and the categories echo that.
Highly relevant new participation opportunities have been introduced, including the Sport Podcast Award and the International Creativity Award, to reflect changes in the way we work, innovate and engage.
Others, meanwhile, have been adapted to reflect the challenges we faced, including the (virtual) event of the year, because – well, obviously.
Despite this, many categories return once again, including the Agency and Young Agency of the Year awards, Campaign of the Year in association with YouGov Sport (a merger of the International and UK Campaign of the Year categories ) and New Brand or Sponsor of the Year in association with Wiggin.

There will also be the prestigious industry recognition that comes with the Judges Awards this year, including the Coutts Lifetime Achievement Award, the Integrity and Impact Award founded by Dow Jones Sports Intelligence, the Leadership in Sport Award and the Outstanding Contribution to Sport Award. . Also new for 2021 are the judges’ awards Sports Organization of the Year in association with AXA XL and Media Organization of the Year.
The format of the evening itself (scheduled for June 9, 2021) will be announced later – as the opportunities to ensure the biggest possible celebration become clearer – but as the Sport Industry Awards celebrate 20 years of awards, it promises to be a can’t miss.
On top of all of this, in addition to celebrating the incredible work the industry has continued to produce and the exciting opportunities that lie ahead, we will take this opportunity to indulge in your fantastic accomplishments over the past years at the 20th anniversary of your sport. Together we’ll celebrate two decades of work that have taken the UK sports industry to world-class heights, and we’ll ask which one you think is the best, with more to be revealed soon.
