Sport Industry Group has announced its new series of informal networking and speaker events taking place throughout 2022 – Sport Industry Socials.

The events will focus on topical issues and are ideal for people in the sports industry looking to expand their knowledge and grow their personal networks, open to people of all skill levels.

The first Sport Industry Socials “Finding A Fanbase” event will take place at the HKX Building in Pancras Square on Thursday, July 7.

At the first sports industry social event of the year, personalities representing the sport at different stages of their journey – emerging, established and traditional – discuss the challenges of finding and retaining fans in a market crowded.

From emerging sports such as the eSkootr Championship, which debuted in 2022, to cricket, which dates back to the 16th century, speakers will explore the obstacles and opportunities to earning eyeballs in the digital age.

eSkootr – Hrag Sarkissian, Founder and CEO

Conceived by motorsport entrepreneur Hrag Sarkissian and former racing driver Khalil Beshir, the eSkootr Championship is an all-new electric scooter racing series that debuted in 2022.

World Air Race – Willie Cruikshank, Race Director

Originally created and organized by Red Bull in 2003, the reimagined Air Race World Championship returns after a three-year hiatus with new management, new technology and new formats.

ESL Pro League – Alex Inglot, Commissioner

Founded in 2015, the ESL Pro League is the premier Counter-Strike: Global Offensive competition in the world. Season 16 will see 34 international teams compete for $850,000 in prize money.

The Hundreds – Jen Vile, Marketing Director

In 2021, the ECB launched The Hundred, the brand new cricket competition. This summer, The Hundred will continue to excite cricket fans new and old, with its innovative blend of high-energy sports action and epic entertainment.

Interactivity will be encouraged throughout the session, with the moderator regularly turning to the audience to guide the discussion. All invitees will be able to submit questions in advance, which means that no topic will be excluded.

It will also be a great opportunity to have a drink with other people from the sports industry in the fantastic HKX building in Pancras Square, London.
